About IES Columbus

The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) is the recognized technical authority on illumination. For over 100 years; its objective has been to communicate information on all aspects of good lighting practice to its members, to the lighting community, and to consumers, through a variety of programs, publications, and services.

The IES Columbus Section offers formal educational programs, sharing a common interest in lighting, controls, energy and their respective technologies. From beginner to advanced, we offer programs related to specific applications based on IES standards as well as programs on new and emerging trends and technologies.

IES Social Event: Blackwing Shooting Center

Join us for a fun day of Trap Shooting, Dinner and Drinks. This is a FREE event for Members, $20 for Non-Members. Limited to first 30 RSVPs

Whether you have never picked up a gun or are an expert marksman, this event is for you! We will have help on hand to show you the ropes, and a casual social event with food and drinks to follow. Please RSVP by 10/30 (No more than 4 attendees per organization please).
